Painting Our Guest Bedroom and Hall - Spring 2015

8:38 AM

After we had made all the important decisions for our wedding we knew we had something on our personal to do list. Paint the guest bedroom. It was the second to last major house project we had until we could not feel guilty for relaxing on a completely open weekend. We soon discovered that it was crunch time for painting because we had my family coming to visit for a week and then after that I was moving into the guest room. And it wouldn't be best to move in
and then have to move out a few weeks later to paint.

You can see the before of the guest room. It really was a sorry sight.
I wish I had more before pictures but it was basically the leftovers room.

You can see we also needed to paint the hall and the hall closets, they were bubblegum PINK!

Now that the junk is out of the guest bedroom it actually looks good! I LOVE that large window!

One Friday night we prepped the room. As anybody knows who has painted before, it takes forever!

Thomas has started painting! It is now Saturday morning.

Thomas painted the trim. I painted the walls.

Do you see our dining room table in there? This is all the junk from the bedroom,
two bedroom closets, and two hall closets.

Cutting in! And below the first coat is done!

In the morning light it looks gorgeous!

Look! No more bubblegum pink closets!

Why does a messy room make it look so bad!?
Well there is the only picture I got of the final product right afterwards.

But now look at it. We switched our bed into the guest room and got a lamp from Target.
